MIX Group
Group MIX consists of four artists in visual arts, dance and music whose shared interest is in the integration of new technologies as a means towards blurring artistic boundaries between defined disciplines, challenging notions of presentation, performance and the role of the audience, and exploring technology, the arts, and the collaborative opportunities this kind of work encourages.
The technology of Contained reflects the diverse, multi-disciplinary nature of its creators.
Formed in 2005, Group MIX is:
Sandra Mathern, Dancer, Performer, Improviser;Alexander Mouton, New Media Artist, Book Artist and Imagemaker;
Christian Faur, Visual Artist, Painter and Digital Media Technologist;
Aaron Fuleki, Musician/composer and Digital Media Technologist.
Contained includes contributions by Marlon Barrios-Solano, independent dance/new media artist, an original member of Group MIX, who is currently based in NYC. Group MIX is in-residence at Denison University, in Granville, OH, USA.
